At RKG Fencing, we install all types of timber fences. From standard paling to lapped and capped fences. The different styles include butted or standard paling, spaced paling, lapped paling and lapped and capped fences. We specialise in timber boundary fences in treated pine or hardwood.

Does the client have to purchase the timber or is this included in price?

All materials are included in the price.

What type of styles are available?

Paling fences

Paling or butted paling fences are your base level boundary fence.  They are the most cost-effective type of fencing and are usually made from treated pine.

Lapped paling fences

Lapped paling fences have two layers of palings, with the top layer overlapping the bottom layer. This way, no gaps ever appear between palings as they dry out and shrink. This adds extra privacy and will help to soundproof your backyard.

Lapped and capped fences

Lapped and capped fences are basically the same as lapped paling fences but with a dressed piece of capping on the top. This makes them more aesthetically pleasing with the capping. As well as helping to protect the palings end grain adding longevity.

What type of timber do you use?

The materials used for timber fences are generally treated pine and occasionally hardwood.

Do you offer any type of warranty?

Yes, we offer 12-month warranty on labour.

Do you demolish existing fence?
Yes, we do offer demolish and removal if required.  The price is included in the quote.
Do you clean up the site and remove rubbish?
Yes. We always do a full clean up of the job site when finished, taking away any leftover materials or rubbish.
 
How do you take care of plants and vegetation on site?
All reasonable steps will be taken not to damage any plants or vegetation in the garden.
Does a timber fence require maintenance, repainting or re-staining?
Both treated pine and hardwood fences can be left to age naturally. If the fence is stained or painted it will require looking after, as in it will need re-staining or re-painting every year or two to keep it looking good.
All timber fences will benefit from a hose down from time to time, keeping them clean.
